Brian Richard, lead minister

Brian Richard, lead minister

Brian is a Southwest Ohio native and no stranger to LCC.  Following High School graduation from Goshen Christian Academy in 1988 he attended Cincinnati Bible College, graduating in 1993.  During his senior year he joined the staff of LCC as an Associate Minister working with children, youth and leading worship. He met his lovely wife Jennifer at LCC and they were married in April of 2000.

It was that same year that he took a Children’s minister position at First Christian Church in Brazil, Indiana.  In 2003, Brian answered the call to return to LCC as the Lead Minister.  He served in that role for 10 years as the church more than doubled in size. In the Spring of 2013 the Lord called Brian to serve as the Lead Minister at Brownstown Christian Church in Brownstown, Indiana.  In nearly 4 years of ministry in that location the church stabilized, finished a building project, grew and initiated a strategic plan for future growth.

Brian's Life Verse

In Summer of 2016 the Lord made a clear call for Brian and his family to once again return to LCC in the role of lead minister.  Brian, Jennifer and their two children, Caleb and Lauren, are honored, blessed and very excited to be home.

Brian loves spending time with his family, he loves to grill out and his favorite hobby is camping. Brian enjoys playing golf, bowling and working in his garden. Brian’s favorite Bible verse is Colossians 3:23“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.”

Dan Ponchot, associate minister

Coming from a background in business, Dan joined our staff in 2005.  However, Dan is no stranger to the church and his need for it.

He is the son of a preacher, though he refers to himself as the black sheep.

He serves in several roles, working within several of his passions:  discipleship, student ministry, and worship ministry.

Dan is a graduate of Milligan College and previously served with several other congregations in the greater Cincinnati area.

He fancies himself a sport-minded person and has a secret (well, not really a big secret)  passion for Dunkin Donuts coffee.

As a wife and mother, Holly values her time with husband and sons, especially when she goes to Florida in the winter to visit her oldest son.
