covid-19

LCC Church Family,

First, let us say that He Is Greater!  With the happenings in our world at this time, that statement has never been more true. Secondly, we are keenly aware of recent developments with COVID-19 virus.  What is most important to us is that we, as Christ-followers, are engaging with these events in a Christ-like way. While it is crucial to be informed, sensitive , and wise in the way we approach this outbreak, it is equally important that we conduct ourselves in a way that reflects our confidence and trust in a God WHO IS GREATER and offers hope regardless of circumstance.  We want to encourage you to take this opportunity to display peace rather than panic, prayer rather than fear.

That being said, we will still be meeting at our regular service times this Sunday however, it will be considered a Family Sunday for Children’s Ministry. They will operate on that schedule.  Also, there will be NO Jr High and High School Sunday school.    We absolutely understand if people would like to stay home and away from a corporate gathering.  Please feel free to do as your family feels comfortable.

Here are some of the steps that we will be taking in the short term to do our part to help in our LCC community.

*We have a team set up for this week that will be disinfecting frequently touched surfaces before and after each service.

*We are encouraging any volunteers to stay home if they are feeling unwell.  That being said, we appreciate your grace for any lapses in coverage of ministries that may occur.

*When you greet others in service, opt for a smile and a wave rather than a handshake.

*We will not be passing plates this week for communion or offering.  We will have a drop box in the worship center for offering and connection cards (or you can give online at www.lovelandchristianchurch.org .  We are doing everything possible to acquire single serve communion cups.  If we are not able to locate some, we will simply ask you to have communion at your home.

*Our Children’s Ministry will be diligent in their precautions, similar to above.

*If you or a family member have a weakened immune system, health concerns, are at a higher risk, or are feeling unwell, we encourage you to stay home and take advantage of our Live Stream on Facebook on the LCC main page.

Above all, please use common sense.  Wash your hands, pray, and trust God that He Is Greater!

If you would like more information about the virus and proper prevention measure, we recommend visiting the CENTER FOR DISEASE CONTROL AND PREVENTION (CDC) website.

He Is Greater,

The LCC Leadership
