About

Our Mission at LCC is to win, build, and send disciples of Jesus Christ.

We accomplish this mission by providing a community, an environment, and a culture that intentionally moves individuals through a process of:

  • Coming to a knowledge of and into a personal relationship with the triune person of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  (Win)
  • Growing and maturing in that knowledge of God and deepening that relationship with Him by studying and applying God’s Word, both individually and in active, Christ-like fellowship with others. (Build)
  • Living as a fully devoted disciple of Jesus Christ, acting in love and obedience, by word and deed, and serving Christ through spiritual gifts, talents, and abilities in order to carry His Gospel to the world. (Send)

OUR FOCUS – “Connection” - Ephesians 4:11-16

  • Connect the lost with Jesus
  • Connect individuals to our community
  • Connect gifts/passions to service/ministry

What We Believe

  •           We believe in one God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  They are co-equal and each possesses all the attributes of God.

(Matthew 5:16, 45; 6:1, 4, 8, 9; James 1:17; John 1:1; 14:9; Genesis 1:2; John 4:24; 14:16-20; 2 Peter 1:21)

  •      We believe that God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, visible and invisible.

(Genesis 1:1; Acts 17:24-28; Hebrews 11:3)

  •      We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s one and only Son and the Savior of the world. He was born Jesus of Nazareth, both fully human and fully divine, born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for all sin, was buried, and was raised again bodily from the dead on the third day.Jesus ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of God, and will one day return to earth to judge both the living and the dead.

(Matthew 1:18; Luke 1:26-38; Colossians 2:9; John 1:14; Luke 23:1-24:8; John 20:24-29; 1 Corinthians 15:3-8; Luke 22:69; Acts 1:1-9; Colossians 3:1; Matthew 24:36-42; John 14:1-3; Acts 1:10-11; 10:39-42; 1 Peter 4:5)

  •      We believe that the Holy Spirit is one with the Father and Jesus Christ and serves as our comforter, guide, and advocate. The Spirit gives Christians guidance in living, an understanding of the Bible, and intercedes for them in prayer.

(John 16:5-15; Acts 1:7-8; Romans 8:26-27; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19; 2 Timothy 1:14)

  •      We believe that the Bible is God’s Word and serves as our foundation and final authority on Christian beliefs and daily living. It is divinely inspired by God and without error in its original writings. It was given to us so that we might know and understand God’s truth and love.

       (Mark 12:36; John 14:26; 16:12-15; Acts 1:16; 2 Timothy 3:14-16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 5:18; 24:35; Romans 15:4;Hebrews 4:12)

  •      We believe that humans, created by God, willfully sin against God and are consequently lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ.

(Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23)

  •      We believe that salvation (the forgiveness of sins) comes by grace through the blood of Jesus Christ. Salvation can neither be purchased nor earned. It is a gift from God, available only through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and received through faith.

(Matthew 26:28; Romans 5:9; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Peter 1:18-19; 1 John 1:7)

  •      We believe the Bible teaches that a person receives God’s grace by putting their faith in Christ, repenting of their sin, confessing Christ as Lord, and being immersed into Christ for the forgiveness of their sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit’s presence.

(Romans 5:1-2; Luke 24:45-47; Acts 3:19; 17:30; 2 Peter 3:9; Matthew 10:32; Romans 10:9; Philippians 2:11; 1 John 4:15; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:1-7; Galatians 3:27; Colossians 2:11-12; 1 Peter 3:21)

  •      We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, founded on the Day of Pentecost, and consists of all Christians everywhere. The Church exists to save the lost and edify the saved.

(Matthew 16:13-18; Acts 2:14-47)

  •       We believe it is God’s plan for the Elders to shepherd the local church.

(Acts 20:28; 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Peter 5:1-4)

  •      We believe that we were created to live forever. Every person will spend eternity either in union with God in heaven or separated from God in hell. Those who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and follow Him will live eternally with God, while those who refuse to accept Jesus as Savior will spend eternity in hell.

(Matthew 25:31-46; Romans 8:10-11; John 6:47)
